Standard Features of the SS5060

With a 23 horse power Kawasaki engine powering your TimeCutter, grass doesn't stand a chance. Wet grass, tall grass - it doesn't matter when you are using Kawasaki's 2 cylinder hemispherical engine design and V-valve technology. The forced air cooled engine delivers smooth, quiet, efficient, reliable power.

Toro's four inch deep, top discharge deck design provides superior cutting performance in all conditions. Anti-scalp wheels allow the deck to float over the turf and reduce scalping. Create your own natural fertilizer by adding an optional Recycling Mulch Kit® or make yard clean-up a snap with an optional Twin Bagging system.

Ride with ultimate comfort with the extra tall, 18 inch, contoured seat. Its soft design absorbs shocks and uneven terrain while contouring to your back. Standard on all 50 inch TimeCutter SS models.

These armrests provide you with extra operator comfort. Great for mowing for an extended period of time. Armrests fold up when not in use.

Optional on every TimeCutter, the foot assisted height is standard on the SS5060.

Raise the deck quickly by pressing on the height of cut foot pedal to avoid running over obstacles, rocks, roots, mounds and more. It also allows easier movement of the deck lift arm, and can be great for fall leaf cleanup when the leaved build up under the deck.

Rear Engine Guard

Protects your engine from branches and other objects that stick out. Also protects engine if you accidentally back or turn into objects.

Zero turn riders are known for their maneuverability, and the Smart Speed system turns that into precise control. With the flip of a lever, you can change speed ranges which gives you more control of your TimeCutter.

Flip the switch to "low" for precise cutting around obstacles, borders, fences, and landscaping.

Flip the switch to "high" for large open areas at high speed.

Independent hydrostatic drive systems provide responsive maneuverability and zero turning capabilities. These independent drives are anchored to Toro's Uni-body frame and strengthened with a 3/4" diameter cross-bar for lasting durability and performance.

The heavy-duty, unibody, 10 gauge steel frame provides increased strength, durability, and reliable performance.

Control lever dampeners provide smooth drive engagement to prevent jerky operation and sudden starts and stops. Thick, padded control levels allow you to keep in control and eliminate slipping while you ride in comfort.

The TimeCutter features a large 3-gallon fuel tank for more mowing with less fill-ups. Knowing when to fill up is simple thanks to the translucent tank, which also helps to prevent overfilling. The central location of the tank provides a lower and more stable center of gravity for optimum control.

The rubber floor mat is standard on the SS4260. This rubber mat reduces deck noise, reduces vibrations, and gives your feet a comfortable place to rest. Mat is removable.

The pierced floor pan is perfect for homeowners who like their mower to look as nice as their lawn. Simply hose down the floor pan after each use and keep your TimeCutter looking as good as new. The non-slip pierced extrusions also provide an additional measure of safety. Rubber floor mat is standard but can be removed for easy cleaning.

Deck washout ports (1 on the 32 inch and 42 inch and 2 on the 50 inch decks) provide quick cleaning underneath the deck after mowing, maintaining optimum airflow for optimum cutting performance.

The TimeCutter SS5060 is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for three years and unlimited hours of use.
